SYNOPSIS

On Track is a portrait of para-athlete Alex Eves as she rebuilds her life and identity after a catastrophic car accident. Made for Feros Care's Fearless Films, it looks past disability as a limitation and toward drive, routine and ambition — following Alex as she trains to compete as a sprinter and challenges the assumptions around what disability looks like.

NOTE

I wanted this to feel like a film about Alex, not a film about disability. The hardest part was finding the balance between what she'd been through and who she is now, without turning her story into an inspirational cliché. I was chasing something intimate and cinematic that let her strength come through without us forcing it.
