SYNOPSIS

Loving Me Lover is built around the strange feeling of being happy somewhere new while feeling guilty about the people you've left behind. The film sits in that contradiction — freedom and attachment, escape and responsibility — building a dreamlike world around Amy as she wrestles with wanting both lives at once.

NOTE

I loved the contradiction in the song — feeling completely alive somewhere new while carrying guilt about what you've left behind. We shot on 16mm and I wanted the whole film to feel like a memory you're inside of: loose, textured and slightly surreal.
